Overview
The Town of Peace River is accepting applications for one (1) permanent, full-time Labourer within the Public Works Department. Reporting to the Public Works Foreman, this position plays an important role in maintaining the infrastructure and services that keep our community running safely and efficiently year-round. The Labourer 1 is a semi-skilled position responsible for a variety of hands-on operational and maintenance duties.
This role is well suited to individuals who enjoy working outdoors, take pride in practical work, and are committed to providing reliable service to the community.
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment for snow clearing and ice control.
- Assist with utility excavations and repairs.
- Perform maintenance on municipal infrastructure.
- Support other Town departments as operational needs require.
- Be on-call to respond to emergencies (e.g., flooding) as required.
