Laboratory Technologist I (Wainwright)

As a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT), you will be responsible for the daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples within the laboratory department. You will perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment and research.

The position includes days, evenings, weekends and on-call with a 30 minute response time.

Required Qualifications

This is a working level position utilizing technical skills and judgment performing a diverse range of diagnostic procedures within the Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine, and Specimen Procurement departments, within the scope of practice of a MLT.

• Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program.
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
