Laboratory Technician Environmental (Selwyn)

Overview

Job Description: This is an entry‑level position, which would not be eligible for relocation support for candidates that need to relocate to the Peterborough / Lakefield area.

Public transit is limited for those without vehicles.

This role also requires availability to work shifts on a rotating schedule (Days, evenings and some weekends).

Responsibilities

• Sample reception, sample identification, sample preparation, and sample dilutions.
• Setting up analytical batches and analysis, batch Quality Control, and using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Ensuring samples are logged into LIMS accurately and in a quick manner.
• Cataloging and storing samples in an efficient and easily retrievable manner.
• Assisting laboratory personnel in locating and retrieving samples, and being responsible for sample disposal or returning samples to clients.
