LifeLabs is hiring a Laboratory Assistant in West Vancouver, BC. The role is part-time (20-37.5 hrs/week) with day shifts and opportunities for additional shifts at other LifeLabs locations, including West and North Vancouver, Sunshine Coast, and Bowen Island sites such as Dundarave PSC, Hollyburn PSC, Marine Drive PSC, Gibsons PSC, Sechelt PSC, Bowen Island PSC.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and collect required information.
- Explain specimen collection process and ensure protocol compliance before specimen collection.
- Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, 24‑hour blood pressure monitoring, and ECG tracings.
- Manage special test collections such as medical/legal drug screens, paternity tests, and clinical trials, including documentation.
- Maintain client relationships, respond to inquiries, and follow up on requests.
