Laboratory Assistant
Position within the Histology team. As a Laboratory Assistant you will be responsible for processing laboratory specimens and entering requisitions and results accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring quality control checks and standards are run as required.
Schedule
Permanent Full Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. (Onsite, 115 Midair Court, Brampton, ON)
Responsibilities
- Data entry of all patient and test information for MOH and private client requisitions accurately and timely.
- Verify completeness of all documentation and file related paperwork.
- Handle STAT, verbal, critical and special instructions as required.
- Process add‑on test requests and subsequent specimen selection.
- Process all specimens including receiving, sorting, labeling, separating, and placing in appropriate area.
