Job Summary
The Planning Engineer is responsible for planning and scheduling activities for assigned bids, projects, or programs against an approved baseline (Performance Measurement Baseline – PMB). The role ensures effective monitoring and control of tasks, deliverables, schedule risks, workload, and costs.
The Planning Engineer must have strong expertise in project management structures and baselines (WBS, OBS, RAM, WPDDs, PMB), scheduling techniques (PERT, Critical Path), and Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA). The role also supports claims-related activities including Extension of Time (EOT) and delay analysis, and performs basic Earned Value tracking and variance analysis to support corrective actions.
