Job Purpose
- To learn and develop the skills required to produce technical drawings and 3D models for sheet metal components using SolidWorks.
- This is an entry-level growth role for a mathematically inclined individual with strong spatial visualization skills, aimed at transitioning academic knowledge into real-world manufacturing design.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn SolidWorks: Receive training to develop 3D models and 2D drawings of sheet metal parts.
- Assist Senior Staff: Support senior draughtsman with drawing revisions, detailing, and updates.
- Interpret Drawings: Learn to translate engineering sketches and Matric EGD principles into digital CAD formats.
- Learn Fabrication Basics: Develop an understanding of sheet metal design principles, including bend allowances and material types.
- BOM Management: Assist in creating and maintaining basic Bills of Materials (BOMs).
