Position Overview
This individual is responsible for the planning and purchasing of raw material supporting production at ITS facility. This position will manage select suppliers to ensure on-time delivery at competitive pricing while managing inventory levels to prevent shortages.
Position Duties
- Review and understand requisition requirements.
- Issue requests for quotes/proposals (RFQ/RFP) & select best source based on compliance with technical requirements, cost, quality, and delivery requirement.
- Price negotiation and purchasing of various electronic components, mechanical parts and other materials used in electronic assembly.
- Establish delivery schedules for suppliers and monitor progress.
- Generate Purchase Orders to suppliers.
- Follow-up and expediting of supplier deliveries.
- Manage supplier relationship.
- Serve as a link between Planning, Receiving, Quality, and Manufacturing.
