- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field will be a plus
- 24 years' accounting experience in a retail environment.
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience working on an accounting system such as Sage, Pastel, SAP, or similar.
- Sound understanding of accounting principles.
- Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
Key Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile bank accounts and cashbooks.
- Prepare and process journals and general ledger reconciliations.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with monthly management accounts and month-end processes.
- Reconcile creditors and debtors accounts.
- Process invoices and ensure accurate financial record keeping.
