Position Summary
The Junior Accountant is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing cash applications to customer accounts, completing bank reconciliations in a timely manner, and supporting the Accounts Receivable function through strong attention to detail and professional customer communication. This role requires direct correspondence with customers to resolve payment discrepancies, management of multiple customer payment portals, and processing of credit card payments in accordance with company policies and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Process daily cash receipts and apply payments accurately to customer accounts, including cheques, EFTs, ACH payments, wire transfers, and credit card payments.
- Review remittance details and customer account information to ensure payments are posted to the correct invoices and accounts.
