Yellowknife Education District No. 1 and the Dettah District Education Authority invite applications for the position of:
Janitor
Kaw Tay Whee School in Dettah
Continuing position beginning February 2, 2026
Full time (100% FTE)
8 Hour Shift - 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM
(with one hour lunch)
Qualifications
- Minimum requirements for the position include a high school diploma.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have: Previous janitorial/cleaning experience, related experience deemed acceptable by the Janitor Supervisor may also be considered.
- Willingness to work in a multicultural environment around teachers, students, and the public.
- Experience working in a school/commercial setting.
- WHMIS training.
- Basic computer skills.
