- Site Access and Security – Register entry at the site, follow local protocols, note any escort requirements
- Location Documentation – Capture GPS coordinates, photograph the main demarcation point, record the comms room location
- Cable Route Measurement – Measure the distance between the demarcation point and the comms room
- Network Rack Assessment – Record rack details (ID, height, occupied/free U, device types), check rack stability, capture photos
- Floor Space and Power Readiness – Measure floor area, verify power feeds, UPS, cooling, and grounding
