The Cost Accountant will be responsible for analyzing cost expenditures and purchases within the organization.
The Cost Accountant will review existing purchases, record data, recommend new cost-efficient and financially feasible cost options.
General Responsibilities - Organizes the preparation and analysis of costs, compiles data, prepares and emits statistical reports for the comparison of costs and determination of profitability by product and client - Reviews standard and actual costs for inaccuracies - Performs month end close activities related to Cost Accounting - Maintains one or a combination of cost accounting systems - Records cost information for use in controlling expenditures - Prepares journal entries; maintains and reconciles ledger accounts - Collect and compile purchasing data for analysis - Prepare and complete internal cost audits - Review and document inventory and material purchases - Helps prepare financial statements and variance reports as requested...
