TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Volunteers and Interns are an essential component in assisting ACHIEVE with meeting its mission and vision. Volunteers give time and resources to the agency and in return learn new skills and receive satisfaction knowing that they have made a positive contribution to the agency and to the lives of individuals with disabilities. Tasks may include assisting with program or department activities, sharing a skill or talent, or participating in agency activities/projects. Volunteers/Interns are not expected to provide assistance with personal hygiene, carry out specialized treatment strategies or intervene in behavioral crises. A Volunteer/Intern may have approved unsupervised contact with individual after completing required training and full background checks. Hours of service will be logged.
