Contribute to the Heritage Division at Cabin Resource Management as an Intermediate Archaeologist. Engage in fieldwork and collaborate with First Nations partners on culturally significant projects.
In this role, you will embody Cabin’s commitment to reconciliation and adaptability while conducting archaeological surveys and data recovery excavations. As part of a talented team, you will also prepare proposals and coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure project success while respecting Indigenous needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct fieldwork including survey, monitoring, and excavation
• Prepare cost estimates and project proposals
• Liaise with First Nations on project specifics
• Compile and submit site inventory records
• Write and review technical reports and management plans
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in archaeology or anthropology
• BC Archaeology Branch approved Field Director status
• Eligibility to hold archaeological permits
