Interim Strategic Local Plan Leader – Dorset

Dorset Council seeks an Interim Lead for the Dorset Local Plan to provide strategic leadership for delivering a new Local Plan under the NPPF and to steer the creation of a new Design Guide. The post oversees the Spatial Planning Service and about 50 staff, aligning resources to council objectives.

The role requires senior planning experience, a degree in planning, and strong leadership. 6 months with potential extension, 3–4 days on site weekly in Dorchester/Dorset.
