MAJOR FUNCTION
: The Industry Engagement Coordinator position is a grant funded position and will be housed within Florida Department of Corrections Central Office location.Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Compile information about new industry engagements; maintain employer information and status of engagements.
Inform prospective employers of procedures and processes for working with Florida Department of Corrections to increase the number of industry engagements for pre-release training and hiring events.
Answer industry questions and explain available benefits of being a fair chance employer, such as work opportunity tax credits, federal bonding, a motivated workforce, skills training inside institutions, etc.
