Indigenous Language Educators Needed

Become an effective Indigenous Language educator for the YRDSB during the 2026/2027 academic year. This role focuses on enhancing language skills in a supportive learning environment.
The York Region District School Board (YRDSB) seeks qualified Indigenous Language and International Languages Teachers for September 2026. As part of the role, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons while ensuring student well-being. The position requires Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification to teach secondary grades 9-12.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, deliver, and coordinate engaging language programs
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Communicate student progress to parents and administrators
• Encourage parental involvement in language learning
• Supervise students as assigned
Requirements:
• OCT certification for credit courses
• Fluency in Greek is an asset
