Senior Patent Lawyer - (Toronto).
Our client is one of Canada's premier law firms based in the heart of the financial district. They are currently seeking a senior lawyer with 10+ years of relevant experience to join its Intellectual Property Practice Group.
What you will do
- Prepare and prosecute Canadian patent and industrial design applications with a focus on mechanical and electrical fields.
- Communicate with clients and CIPO on matters including preparing, filing and prosecution of patent and industrial design applications.
- Oversee maintenance of issued patents, including monitoring deadlines and overseeing payment of maintenance fees.
- Provide patent infringement and validity opinions.
- Manage deadlines and client requests.
