Horizontal Directional Driller

What is the Opportunity?

Aecon Field Services Inc. is looking for a Directional Driller to work on Edmonton and surrounding area project locations. The role reports to the Superintendent and involves all phases of directional drilling tasks directed by the site foreman. This is not a unionized position.

What You’ll Do Here

• Conduct pre‑trip/walk‑around safety inspections.
• Operate Horizontal Directional Drills and/or locating equipment independently and safely.
• Provide technical support to clients and crew members as required.
• Keep abreast of all directional drilling techniques and surveying methods.
• Manage inventory and supplies.
• Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving of loads, and respond to hand or audio signals from team members.
• Understand and analyze locate marks, stakes, and property markers.
