Homemaking Services Worker

This Opportunity

We are currently looking to fill a Part Time, Homemaking Service role in our North East region – Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

Hours and Salary

Up to 32 hours per week. Starting wage: $18.90/hr.

Duties

• Assist consumers in their own homes with non-medical activities of daily living: light housekeeping (dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, making bed, dishes, etc.) and laundry activities (sorting, washing, drying, folding) on a scheduled basis according to the consumer’s service agreement and March of Dimes Canada policies and procedures.
• Provide housekeeping service in a friendly, courteous, professional and safe manner, respecting the consumer’s dignity and right to privacy while ensuring consumer and staff safety.
• Manage and respond to change in a positive manner.
• Work safe according to WHMIS, Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) laws, regulations, MODC policies and procedures.
