In the Lead Hand position, you will play a key role in supporting the Foreperson and overseeing highway maintenance crews. This includes conducting inspections, facilitating safety meetings, and ensuring high-quality workmanship. Your leadership and equipment operation skills are essential to maintaining safety for the traveling public while meeting contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct safety meetings and assist with inspections
• Aid the Foreperson in work planning for project timelines
• Ensure crew work quality meets high standards
• Operate heavy equipment as required
• Promptly address health and safety issues on the job
Requirements:
• Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement
• Prior supervisory experience in highway or road maintenance
• Snow plow experience preferred
