Heavy Equipment Operator

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Heavy Equipment Operator role based in Toronto, ON. The Heavy Equipment Operator will safely operate a range of heavy equipment (such as excavators, loaders, and dozers) to perform excavation, grading, trenching, and backfilling activities on construction sites.

Daily tasks include reading site plans or grade stakes, setting up work areas, performing pre-operational equipment checks, and coordinating with site supervisors and crew members to complete work efficiently.

The role involves loading and unloading materials, maintaining proper slopes and grades, and ensuring trenches and excavations meet project specifications and safety standards. The operator will also assist with routine equipment cleaning, basic maintenance, and reporting any mechanical issues or site hazards to management.
