Responsibilities include measuring and laying out reference points, assembling and installing refrigeration or air‑conditioning components, cutting and connecting piping with welding and brazing, starting up systems, testing for leaks, performing maintenance such as recharging refrigerant, checking regulators and calibrating systems, handling refrigerants responsibly, and repairing or replacing parts in refrigeration, air‑conditioning, ventilation or heat‑pump systems.
