An exciting opportunity for Health Care Assistants to join our Integrated Medicine and Emergency Care division at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals. The role is supported by the nursing and medical team, with essential training provided. You will assist patients with everyday tasks, maintain oral intake, aid personal hygiene, escort patients to procedures, and support medical and nursing teams.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily tasks, maintain oral intake, personal hygiene and escorting to procedures.
- Support medical and nursing teams in delivering treatment.
- Perform clinical observations and venepuncture under supervision.
- Maintain accurate written or electronic records meeting legal requirements.
- Support safe admission, transfer and discharge of patients.
- Engage in change improvement initiatives and act as champion in areas of interest.
