Job Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Health Underwriter Associate to support the evaluation and pricing of medical risk for group health plans. In this role, you will work closely with operations and sales teams to assess data, calculate rates, and ensure accurate underwriting decisions within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Risk Evaluation & Underwriting: Review client information including health plans, rates, census, and claims history; assess data accuracy and completeness; evaluate medical risk using underwriting guidelines.
- Pricing & Data Analysis: Calculate rates for group health plans based on demographics, location, and risk factors; analyze complex data sets to support pricing decisions; apply underwriting methodologies and rating rules.
