Health Care Aide (HCA) - Part Time (PT) - Red River Place

Overview

Position: Health Care Aide at Red River Place LTC, Selkirk, Manitoba. Reporting to the Director of Health & Wellness, this role provides personal care and selected tasks within regulatory and Extendicare standards, policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to the plan of care as determined by the supervisor.
• Facilitate residents’ move-in and transfers where applicable.
• Observe and report on residents and clients care/service using appropriate Extendicare forms or tools.
• Assist residents or clients with personal care, hygiene and activities of daily living.
• Observe and report changes in residents or clients condition to supervisor.
• Escalate medical emergencies to supervisor or emergency medical services as appropriate.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals as required.
• Assist with ambulation, mobilization, transferring and use of adaptive aids.
