Scope of the Position
The conference and catering manager will be responsible for planning and supervising the conference and catering operations and services.
Responsibilities
- Fully aware of departmental yearly revenue goal, products, and services. Takes ownership and initiative to solicit business.
- Maximize group revenue by referring available goods, services, attractions, and sub‑contractors to conference groups.
- Coordinates the handling of group and event requests, familiarization trips, site inspections and any other requests received by the department.
- Handles incoming inquiries and conducts initial qualifying process to ensure potential business.
- Assists Events team with the creation and completion of proposals.
- Good follow through; taking client events from contract to successful completion.
