Group Executive Chef – Gardens, Cape Town

Job description: Group Executive Chef for a well established restaurant group in Gardens, Cape Town.

Non‑negotiable requirements:

• Must be located in Cape Town or willing to relocate
• Must have experience in a Group Exec role for at least 5 years previously
• Must be well versed in managing a large contingency of staff (250+)

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Development of new recipes
2. Be active in cost controlling and maintain food cost
3. Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities
4. Create custom menus for functions and determine portion sizes
5. Manage all recipe folders and keep them updated
6. Manage waste and staff food records
7. Staff training
