Grounds Maintenance Operative

How you'll make a difference

As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will help to create and care for the parks, green spaces, highways, cemeteries and conservation areas that our communities rely on and enjoy every day.

What you will be doing

• You will carry out a wide range of grounds maintenance activities across South Gloucestershire, including grass cutting, hedge trimming and reduction, shrub maintenance, litter picking and the upkeep of planting beds.
• You will carry out routine maintenance activities, including heavy cutbacks in public parks, open spaces, roadside verges and woodland areas.
• Using a range of commercial powered tools such as brush cutters, powered pruners, long‑reach pruners and pedestrian mowers, you will work safely and in line with all relevant health and safety regulations.
