Our client looks after canal waterways in London and the Home Counties.
Full time position.
Due to seasonal demand there is an increase in grounds maintenance work along the canal networks. These are seasonal opportunities to run through spring, summer and autumn and may lead to securing permanent employment all year round.
Applicants must hold a full, manual UK driving licence, be physically fit enough to walk several kilometres per day and enjoy working outdoors in all weathers.
Duties
- Grass and hedge cutting using petrol mowers and strimmers
- Leaf clearance
- Driving a 3.5-tonne company van from one location to another
- Clearing canals of debris and litter
- Litter picking and sweeping of footpaths
- Emptying bins and replacing bin bags
Qualifications
- Full, manual UK driving licence
- Good team player
- Fit enough to walk several kilometres each day
