Join our team! Pavage J.R. Lagacé Paving Inc. is hiring an experienced Grader/Backhoe Operator to support our asphalt preparation work on residential, commercial and municipal paving projects. This role involves fine grading, shaping roadbeds, and preparing surfaces to ensure smooth, accurate, and high-quality asphalt placement.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate grader and/or backhoe to shape, cut, and fine grade roadbeds and shoulders
- Prepare surfaces for asphalt paving, achieving precise slopes, crowns, and elevations
- Work closely with paving foremen, surveyors, and ground crews to maintain production
- Ensure proper drainage, transitions, and grade tolerances before paving
- Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance
