Responsibilities
As a GIS Technician you will be responsible for the following:
- Capturing, converting, editing and maintaining spatial data for multi-phase timber development contracts.
- Spatial and tabular data entry into government corporate databases and systems.
- Interpreting and visualizing remote sensing data including, LiDAR, satellite and drone data.
- Production of mapping products including; Recce Maps, Site Plans, Cruise Maps and Appraisal Maps.
- Conducting spatial analysis in support of timber development such as MDWR analysis, ECA calculations and visual impact assessments.
