General OR Red-Seal Carpenter

Position Overview

Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Carpenter is responsible for working with the Maintenance team to repair and maintain the housing stock managed by the Moose Cree First Nation Housing Department and other agencies, as well as privately owned homes as required.

Qualifications / Requirements

• “Red Seal” certification or willingness to obtain.
• Minimum 2 years of construction experience.
• General knowledge of Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, and Mechanical practices.
• Knowledge of the National Building Code of Canada: Part 9 Residential, Part 3 High Occupancy and Commercial.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good computer skills.
