General Maintenance Supervisor (Kingston)

Purpose of Position

The purpose of the Maintenance Supervisor is to monitor all maintenance related activities, investigate unusual problems affecting production, determine solutions, repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment in accordance with established safety procedures, and follow the goals and objectives of the Maintenance Manager.

Nature and Scope of Position

All hourly maintenance department staff report to the Supervisor. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for all maintenance activities assigned, provides daily work orders, responds to any problems employees have, investigates problems as required, follows up on all problems occurring in the departments, ensures work is performed in a protected manner, provides technical support on equipment and standards, and manages the maintenance department inventory.
