Job Summary
The General Laborer will work at the Windsor, ON location of Ferrous Processing and Trading. Responsibilities include processing scrap metals, operating mobile equipment, performing general labor tasks, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safety standards and use required personal protective equipment.
- Load and unload materials from storage, production areas, docks, and delivery vehicles using hand or mobile equipment.
- Sort recycled materials and metals to separate high‑grade metals from non‑conforming ones.
- Operate and maintain mobile equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, street sweepers, and water trucks.
- Use hand tools, torch, bander, chop saw, alligator shear, saw zall, and wire snips for tasks.
- Identify scrap grade and type, and identify undesirable elements.
