General Duty Cardiac Sonographer

Position Overview

General Duty Cardiac Sonographer responsible for obtaining high quality cardiac ultrasound images, ensuring compliance with quality assurance programs and maintaining standards set by Accreditation. Work under the direction of the Manager/Charge Cardiac Sonographer or Designate.

Responsibilities

• Obtain high quality cardiac ultrasound images and related structures for echocardiography physicians to interpret.
• Assist in the education of new staff, students, patients and visitors.
• Assist in research endeavors within the department.
• Maintain a safe environment in accordance with professional and provincial guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance programs and Accreditation standards.

Experience

One year recent experience as a diagnostic cardiac sonographer preferred.
