FX Artist - TD
As an FX Artist , you are half-artist, half-engineer. You will design and execute complex simulations—fire, water, smoke, explosions, cloth, hair, or magical effects. You are comfortable working procedurally and building setups that can be shared across the team.
Key Responsibilities
Simulation: Create high-end dynamic simulations using Houdini (Pyro, FLIP, RBD, Vellum, Particles).
Tool Building: Create HDA (Houdini Digital Assets) tools to streamline workflows for other artists.
Optimization: Manage massive datasets and caches, ensuring scenes are optimized for rendering.
LookDev: Light and render your FX elements for slap-comps to present to supervisors.
Problem Solving: Debug complex networks and troubleshoot simulation failures.
