Program Overview

The Fully‑Funded PhD Programme offered by The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) aims at exceptional graduate students worldwide to support enrolment in a training and research programme in chemistry, leading to a Doctoral Thesis in partnership with Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV).

This program contributes to professional career development in academia and industry through research projects, short stays in distinguished international research institutions, complementary training in technical and soft skills, scientific seminars, hands‑on training in state‑of‑the‑art instrumentation, IP management, entrepreneurship, research integrity, knowledge and technology transfer, grant applications, project management, communication skills and career development.

ICIQ also offers a yearly personalised training programme (SHARP, 2‑week) focused on the PhD year.
