Support Gabriel Housing Corporation as a Maintenance Assistant this summer in Regina. Engage in hands-on maintenance tasks while helping provide affordable housing to the Metis community.
The 16-week term position offers students a chance to refine their handyman skills and work full-time from Monday to Friday. You will participate in a variety of tasks including minor repairs, landscaping, and internal maintenance to ensure safe living conditions for tenants.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install or reset sidewalk blocks and landscape lawns
• Remove waste and unload it at the city landfill
• Conduct painting for interiors and exteriors
• Repair fences and haul appliances as needed
• Operate various power tools for maintenance
Requirements:
• Must be Metis as stipulated by funding
• Handyman skills are essential for the role
• Must physically meet job requirements
• Available for a full work week
• Complete the required GDI Work Experience Application
