Responsible for leading the fitter’s department within a heavy industrial plant, overseeing all mechanical maintenance, breakdown response, and preventative maintenance. The role ensures optimal equipment performance, reduced downtime, and effective team supervision in a high-pressure environment.

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Red Seal Mechanical Fitter qualification
• 10+ years’ heavy industry experience
• 5+ years’ management experience
• Strong mechanical maintenance and fault‑finding ability
• Experience with preventative maintenance systems (CMMS)
• Knowledge of OHSA and safety compliance
• Physically fit (heights/confined spaces)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Computer literate (MS Office)
