Fitness Consultant - Bariatric Surgery Program

Position Overview

As part of the surgical patient care team, the incumbent will report directly to the Site Lead, Clinical Nutrition and will work closely with the inter‑professional team for the education and treatment of the patient. The incumbent will:

• Develop and coordinate individual and group classes. Provide ongoing support for the patients in the area of wellness education.
• Counsel patients on a one‑to‑one basis for the development of individual exercise programs, and will provide follow up for same.
• Encourage and assist with any research pertaining to the program.
• Plan and coordinate activities within the bariatric program with other team members.
• Work within an inter‑professional team in the developments and delivery of outreach programs related to Bariatric Care.
