Position Overview
As a Fire Protection Technician, you will be part of a specialized crew working on railroad property to protect infrastructure and resources from fire outbreaks. In this role, you will operate trucks with specialized fire suppression equipment mounted on rail that will travel behind and work with a rail grinder with the sole purpose of managing and putting out potential fire outbreaks during the operation of the grinder. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work across Canada to gain hands‑on experience working to maintain and preserve rail infrastructure. The role will involve working in a variety of locations across Canada, including remote rail crossings, rights‑of‑way and rail yards.
