Fire Alarm Technician

Job Responsibilities

• Install electronic equipment.
• Repair electronic equipment.
• Inspect and test electronic equipment and assemblies.
• Repair or replace defective or worn-out parts and components using hand, power or specialized tools.
• Diagnose and locate circuit, component and equipment faults.
• Test and adjust repaired products for proper functioning.
• Adjust, align, replace or repair electronic equipment and assemblies.
• Calibrate products using hand tools.
• Complete work orders, test and maintenance reports.
• Read blueprints and drawings.
• Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages.
• Monitor safety conditions.
• Maintain inventory of supplies.

Qualifications

• Registered Apprenticeship certificate.
• 2 to less than 3 years of experience in electronic repair and troubleshooting.
