Financial Controller

detail-oriented and proactive Financial Controller to be part of their team. In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day accounting, reconciliations, inventory accounting, budgeting support, compliance, and continuous process improvement within the finance function.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and processing monthly journals
• Assisting with external and internal audits
• Performing bank, supplier, customer and general ledger reconciliations
• Maintaining fixed asset register and depreciation
• Preparing VAT, PAYE, UIF and other statutory working papers
• Assisting with budgets, forecasts and cash flow reporting
• Analysing costs and investigating variances
• Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and automate repetitive tasks
• Supporting the Finance Manager with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects
