Financial Accountant

Minimum Requirements:

• BCom Degree in Accounting or Finance (essential)
• CTA qualification will be advantageous
• Minimum 4 years' experience in a general accounting or financial accounting role
• Experience on Sage, Microsoft Navision and/or IBM Cognos will be advantageous
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting and statutory compliance

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate monthly flash reports, management accounts and financial reporting packs
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger through accurate reconciliations and journal processing
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and manage the fixed asset register
• Review, validate and accurately allocate expenses while ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained
• Prepare and review monthly accruals and prepayments
• Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
