Key responsibilities:
Accounting Through to Management Accounts
- Financial Reporting & Controls: Oversee the end-to-end accounting cycle, month/year-end close, and IFRS/SA GAAP compliance. Produce rolling cash flow forecasts and monthly management accounts with variance analysis.
- Order-to-Cash (O2C): Manage invoicing, AR aging, collections, and billing disputes. Lead credit vetting, risk profiling, and bad debt provisioning.
- Accounts Payable & Assets: Approve supplier payment runs, expense claims, and fixed asset depreciation postings.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and allocate workloads across a small AR, credit, and accounting team to meet critical deadlines.
- Governance & Auditing: Implement internal controls, ensure POPIA data compliance, and partner with internal/external auditors.
