This is a 20-month maternity leave contract role based in Langley. Our client is an established organization looking to add an experienced Finance Specialist to their team. The ideal candidate is a designated CPA with over 4 years of relevant experience.
About the position
Reporting to the controller, the finance specialist will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Oversee the full general ledger, including preparing month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end journal entries for controller review
- Handle accounts receivable activities such as invoicing, collections, and posting incoming payments.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations and prepare supporting schedules for review
- Run bi‑weekly payroll for staff and monthly payroll for board members, including deductions, remittances, and related reporting
