Field Technician (Field Based)

Position

ERM is hiring Field Technicians to join our archaeology and cultural heritage team in Whitehorse/Mayo, YT. The role is a full‑time, limited‑term position for 3 months, renewable.

Responsibilities

• Participate in survey and shovel testing.
• Assist an ERM Archaeologist with data collection.
• Work in a team environment to meet productivity and safety goals.

Requirements

• Degree in Anthropology (focus in archaeology) or Archaeology preferred.
• 0–3 years of archaeological survey and impact assessment experience.
• Applicants enrolled in a degree‑granting university who have completed a field school in archaeology encouraged to apply.
• Prior archaeological field school experience is a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and on varied terrain.
