Field Technician/Engineer Roles:
Knowledge of installation and configuration on Ciena
Ability to run, terminate, and dress DC power & ground cabling (awg maximum size, typically awg, awg, and awg at most locations) Runs utilize existing ladder rack and must balance quality expectations with existing site conditions (our Field Engineer will be able to provide relevant guidance and make judgement calls as needed). Insulated tools required (can be provided if otherwise great tech)
Ability to terminate DC power cabling in energized BDFB Customer has zero downtime requirement. Insulative barriers provided to the team as PPE
Ability to run, terminate, and dress CAT, T ( pair), and alarm ( pair) cable RJ-, DSX panel wire wrapping, DIN rail mounted terminal blocks for termination styles
Ability to understand engineering design package/CAD drawings
